Ropo Capital is Finland's leading operator in the invoice lifecycle industry, i.e. in the automatic management of invoicing and claims. The company has grown by expanding into the international market through business acquisitions in Sweden and Norway. As both the organization and business have grown, so have IT needs. The company has migrated from data centers to high-quality cloud-based services that facilitate everyday work. Enfo has supported Ropo in their cloud transformation journey and provided an overview of what Microsoft 365 and Azure cloud capabilities have to offer.

Enfo has been involved in the IT integrations related to Ropo's business acquisitions from the planning phase all the way to deployment – as hardworking sparring partners ready to act fast when necessary. The staff, hardware and services of the acquired businesses have been migrated to Ropo's public cloud solutions. The device base has been brought into Ropo’s model without tasking pre-installations or logistics, and new users have been quickly introduced to the Enfo Service Desk. "Cloud-based solutions enable migrations to be completed in the span of a few months, when without them, it would take a year. In the meantime, we have been able to focus on our core business," Mr. Parkkonen says.
Advanced security for the entire organization
Public cloud services also enable advanced information security solutions tailored for companies of different sizes. Ropo first implemented the protection of endpoints and user identities. Later, they switched to a more comprehensive information security solution, the Azure Sentinel service, which includes comprehensive user, device and infrastructure security management.
Sentinel's AI does the hard work in the background and triggers security alerts about Ropo's environment. Enfo’s 24/7 Security Operations Center (SOC) takes care of nighttime monitoring on Ropo's behalf and handles and resolves alerts. Automation development is also a part of the service, meaning that repeated threats are blocked by automated responses.
The information security solutions have also been useful in business acquisitions – Ropo's high-standard security solution has been immediately applied to the purchased companies and their users, hardware and services. "The scalability of the information security solution is also important. We don’t want the costs to increase linearly with the number of users and monitored items, but to remain under control. In addition, the overall outlook into security issues has improved significantly. We have shifted from reactiveness to proactiveness, which is great for information security.”

As Ropo has expanded into the global market, Enfo has been supporting it in both information security solutions and cloud services, which has freed up Ropo's own resources and enabled them to focus on their core business. As growth continues, IT needs will increase, and the expanding operating range will pose additional challenges.
